3-8-2025 Celery Fields

So last night we ate at Big Water Fish Market.  Cathie and I shared a grouper sandwich.  It was good - the fish was fresh and we decided that it was a close second, but The Cottage still ranks #1 for the best grouper sandwich.  The other minus is that the tables are very close together at the Market and it was a bit loud in there.  By the time we got back to the unit, it was a bit late to start a card game so we skipped last night.

We met Kelly at Celery Fields this morning and had a great time showing off one of our favorite places.  The sighting list is as follows: immature purple gallinule, osprey, anhinga, cormorant, tricolored heron, spoonbill, cardinal, lots of Nanday parakeets, great blue heron, prairie warbler, blue-winged teal, common gallinule, red winged blackbird, purple martin, yellow-rumped warbler, glossy ibis, turtles, rabbit, brown headed cowbird, boat-tailed grackles, bluebird, mottled duck, little blue heron, morning dove, painted bunting, cattle egret, white ibis, wood stork, mockingbird, crow, Northern harrier, sandhill crane sitting on a nest, palm warbler, swamp hen, purple gallinule, tree swallows, and catbird.  We then drove over the Ford's Garage for lunch.  We had a great time with Kelly and enjoyed her company.  We came back to the unit for napping, reading by the pool and laundry time.  We will have leftovers tonight and hopefully win at cards!
