So last night we had a delicious dinner of steak tips on the grill, roasted potatoes, green beans, salad, and onion rolls. We then played a game of cut throat hand and foot. Cathie won which was great, but we all decided the game moves faster so tonight we will go back to partners. Fingers crossed!
This morning we had a quick breakfast and then got on the road by 7 to go to Corkscrew. It is a long drive from here, but totally worth it! Here is a list of what we saw: painted bunting, cardinal, red bellied woodpecker, swallow tailed kite, black vulture, red shouldered hawk, white ibis, little blue heron, Northern parula, black and white warbler, white eyed vireo, tufted titmouse, Carolina wren (heard only), downy woodpecker, yellow bellied sap sucker, morning dove, skink, palm warbler, raccoon (caught a crayfish and ate it), anhinga, turkey vulture, gator, American egret, anole, catbird, yellow crowned night heron, American bittern, black crowned night heron, great blue heron, house wren, blue jay (heard only), blue gray gnat catcher, cattle egret, osprey, and crow.
We are going to try a new restaurant tonight that Laura recommended - Big Water Fish Market. It is within walking distance. Tomorrow we will meet Kelly at Celery Fields.
